We hope this message finds you and your family healthy and safe as we are all collectively dealing with the unimaginable impacts of COVID-19. The changes to all of our lives have been immense, and we here at Made In Nature are not immune. As we navigate through these unprecedented times, our number one focus continues to be on the safety of our employees, consumers and community.
Our dedicated team is working tirelessly to bring delicious, organic, plant-based Supersnacks to hungry humans everywhere. We want to recognize our manufacturing team, based in the Fresno, California area, who are making enormous personal sacrifices by coming to work each day to ensure our snacks are available for retailers and fans across the country. We also want to thank all of you who continue to order or pick up your favorite Made In Nature snacks.
We have taken additional measures to ensure our employees stay healthy while on the job including physical distancing, limiting numbers of employees in various areas, mandatory masks, increased sanitary support and as always gloves and hair nets. We have also increased wages for operations employees during this time and are hiring for open positions in our Fresno-area facilities. For our plant employees with children, we have taken some additional steps to provide support including purchasing Chrome books for children who needed them in order to complete online schoolwork. We are also helping with childcare and internet expenses as needed and providing grocery store gift cards for employee families.
Our team members and our fans continually inspire us with acts of courage, kindness and compassion each day, and as a food company, we want to do our part in giving back. We are proudly donating $80,000 worth of Made In Nature Supersnacks to two charities that are addressing food insecurity: Feed the Children and Fresno Rescue Mission.
These are extraordinary times, but we believe that together we will come out stronger. Thank you for your continued support of Made In Nature. We wish you and your families continued health and safety and we look forward to the future when we can be out on the trails snacking together again.
